Slice the onions and place in a large pot with 2 cups of water. Let cook about 8 to 10 minutes or until soft. |

Bake 1/2 of a hamburger roll at 325 °F (160 °C) for about 20 minutes or until throughly toasted, this makes your "Crouton". |

Place 1 cup of soup into an oven proof bowl and place crouton on top and top with low or reduced fat provolone cheese. |

Broil at 270 °F (130 °C) until cheese is bubbly and brown. |
