Directions

1. Cut fresh broccoli or purchase prepackaged florets. Place in your steamer basket and set aside.
2. Bring about an inch of water to boil in your pan (not enough to actually touch the broccoli).
3. When the water begins to boil, immediately insert the steamer basket and place a lid over it. Allow to steam for exactly 7 minutes and remove immediately.
4. Serve while hot!
5. Note: the real secret to perfectly steamed broccoli is to not insert the steamer basket until the water is already at a hard boil, and to time it for exactly 7 minutes.
